Summer of Web 2.0 & Cyclones

Things I have learned this summer (2007) that I did not have time to learn before:

1- Social networking:
This was started by trying to have AVANT safe my bookmarks but then my work proxy wont allow access to them. Google & Yahoo bookmarking was pain! So then discovred Delicious and it went from there on to explore all kinds of Web 2.0 apps. This might have a lot of implications on my teaching philosophy! Students got to share knowledge, so starting next semester, lookout for blogs and wikis as part of your homework!

2- I can not rest!
Tried but miserably failed to actually staff the computer or papers! I hope this would be useful though and not a total waste of time. Tried every trick on the net about GTD but this one, would not just get done on its own ... so this is it, back to the blogs and my PC!

3- Stuff got a lot more expensive:
I mean all stuff, lands, homes, rent, sodas, bread .. you name it!
This one touches on the poli side, so I am leaving this post truncated :)

4-Cyclone can reach places never thought possible before:
I am talking about Gonu that hit Oman on 5-6 / June /2007.
Global warming, climate change, God wrath, whatever the reason ... it landed here and we got to deal with the prospect of it happening again!
